Prerequisites
Before installing Gibraltar, you need to have .NET 2.0 SP1 or later installed.
If .NET 2.0 is installed without SP1 or SP2 installation will proceed but the application
will fail to start.
Installation Notes
Uninstall any previous version of Gibraltar before installing a new version.
On computers with Visual Studio installed the installation will pause for a while
at 99% while it updates the help content. Please do not interrupt this process
which, depending on the speed of your computer and how many other products have integrated
with Visual Studio Help, may take from one to ten minutes.

Heartfelt thanks to all beta testers. You input over these last six months has made Gibraltar a far richer and more robust product. In addition to planned development such as our reporting subsystem, charting and a lot of performance tuning and testing, Gibraltar 2.0 also includes many refinements we’ve made in response to user feedback such as:
- Error Manager: In addition to logging unhandled exceptions, Gibraltar now includes a very handy dialog that gives a much better user experience than either the default .NET behavior or silently logging exceptions with no user notification.
- Configuration Wizard: It’s always been easy to integrate Gibraltar with a few lines of XML, but we now have a wizard that even takes care of that allowing Gibraltar to integrated with just a few clicks.
- Streamlined API: The API for advanced use of Gibraltar was redone based on feedback from beta users to dramatically simplify the number of classes and make it clearer from IntelliSense how to use the API.
